Coachees have said:
- As the program progressed, I have learnt to reflect more and have been able to “let go” and had implemented a few changes. I am in a better place. Hope I can continue once the program ends.
- Being able to bounce ideas with someone external to the organisation helped.
- I have found it really useful for making a commitment to and being held accountable for starting difficult but crucial conversations with managers at work.
- The zoom sessions are convenient and effective. The Hogan 360 process is clear and the report informative. My coach has facilitated some very helpful discussion.

Professional Coaching programs are engaging and challenging professional development programs with a successful track record for expanding the capabilities of healthcare managers and leaders in clinical and non-clinical roles. They
- Create higher levels of self-insights, awareness, confidence, and competence and explore how emotions, thoughts and behaviours impact performance and strategic and operational effectiveness
- Offer a range of evidence-based, cognitive behavioural, systemic and solution- and goal-focussed tools and techniques to enable sustainable behaviour change
- Give high performing clinicians an external coach to work out how best to enjoy their job and enjoy coming to work, help embed a more positive workplace culture and ultimately optimise patient care.
- The program starts and ends with a psychometric assessment which includes a Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale (DASS), WHO-5 Wellbeing Index, Flourishing Scale, and Solution-focussed Inventory to be completed prior to commencement and near program end, with results to be debriefed at the first session, and last session.
- Engage in eight one-hour virtual coaching sessions usually at three-week intervals and completed within six months from commencement
- You have an active lead role in contemplating goals, priorities for coaching sessions and reflections.
- Your coach facilitates your progress through active listening, powerful questioning and unconditional positive regard
Clinicians who are more coach-like, in addition to their clinical and mentoring capabilities, expand their leadership and communication skills which in turn helps them build the capabilities of junior medical staff, trainees and colleagues. They are likely to form stronger levels of trust, and help accelerate learning, development and goal attainment for themselves and others. Clinicians with coaching skills have better ways to actively listen, hold accountability for sustainable change, motivate others and provide unconditional positive regard and support.

You may choose to include the following assessment(s) in addition to your coaching program, for additional information and insights. They are usually completed and debriefed at program commencement.
Hogan 360 Leadership Report
Receive feedback from your colleagues to gain higher levels of self-awareness. Use your insights to inform your coaching sessions: make the changes to your work behaviours you decide are important and celebrate your strengths. Use the development plan to commit to forming new habits and coaching to hold you accountable for your progress.
Hogan Motives, Values, Preferences Inventory (MVPI)
The MVPI describes personality from the inside – the core goals, values, drivers, and interests that determine what we desire and strive to attain. Take time to analyse and connect with your motives, values and preferences to inform your coaching where you will make decisions more confidently about your career, work and life that are closely aligned to what matters to you.
