Capstan Partners is led by Director Rita Holland who has extensive experience in delivering individual and group medical business coaching and executive coaching programs in healthcare settings.

Dr Sarah Dalton, appointed as Medical Advisor, works closely with Rita who has curated an expert panel of experienced professional coaches.

Together with our capable business support team, we are thrilled to be delivering a range of high quality, bespoke coaching and coaching related services and programs to healthcare organisations, doctors and healthcare professionals.

Rita Holland 

~Director, Professional Certified Coach (PCC)~

Rita is a program lead, facilitator and professional leadership coach. Over the past fifteen years Rita has successfully designed, led and delivered a range of behavioural science-based programs. These services include group and individual coaching for leadership, professional development, performance improvement and career transition coaching programs, wellbeing & resilience training and coaching programs, and organisation and cultural alignment consulting programs.

Her coaching experience includes over 2000 hours with senior leaders, including clinical and non-clinical doctors and healthcare professionals.  Rita graduated in 2007 with a Masters Applied Science (Coaching Psychology) Uni of Sydney and was awarded Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation from the International Coach Federation (ICF) in 2020. Her ICF PCC Assessor accreditation in 2024 involves evaluating coaching competencies and ensuring adherence to ICF guidelines for quality and effectiveness for coaches who have completed at least 500 hours of coaching experience.

Background and practices:

  • Applies evidence-based frameworks including cognitive behavioural techniques (CBT), acceptance and commitment techniques (ACT), solution-focused approaches and positive psychology
  • Coach-specific behavioural-science post graduate training
  • Development and leadership coaching for individuals and teams informed by various psychometric assessments including Hogan Leadership Series and 360 feedback
  • Develops and facilitates workshops and webinars. Themes include team development, and wellbeing
  • Actively engages in professional supervision

Dr Tania Morris

~Medical Advisor~

Tania is a leadership, performance and communication coach, an Anaesthetist and Pain Medicine Physician and a business owner. She has almost 30 years of experience working in healthcare.
Tania is accredited as an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC), holds a Diploma of Leadership Coaching and Mentoring (FireUp) and a Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis (ASH) and has trainer certification in both Process Communication Model and Leading out of Drama. She is a Supervisor of Training, Royal Hobart Hospital; a Staff Specialist Pain Medicine Physician and Co-Director of the Persistent Pain Medicine Service, Nambour Hospital; and a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, Faculty of Pain Medicine.

Sue Sims

~Associate Coach~

Sue is an executive coach with over 10 years experience coaching health professionals including doctors, nurses and allied health leaders.

Sue has also designed and delivered coaching skill development programs to promote a coaching style of clinical practice to enhance patient outcomes, supervision of medical trainees and leadership of health organisations; co-founder of the South Eastern Sydney Local Health District Centre for Coaching and facilitator of the Mindful Doctors series for JMOs at Prince of Wales Hospital.

Sue has a Masters in Applied Science – Coaching Psychology, a Graduate Certificate in Health Leadership and Management and is a registered physiotherapist.

Dr Dave Wood

~ Associate Coach~

Dave is a professional, leadership and executive coach, paediatric emergency consultant and business owner. He has over 14 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. Dave has a passion for developing individuals and teams to achieve their maximum potential.

Dave is a senior specialist in emergency medicine and a clinical director for a children’s emergency department. He has also worked as a director of emergency medicine training.

Dave has Diplomas in Professional Leadership and Executive Coaching, is an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and has an MBChB honours medical degree. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (PEM), a Fellow of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine, and an Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.

~Associate Coach~

Sancha brings 20 years of healthcare experience as an anaesthetist and Training Supervisor and has interests in medical education and simulation. 

Sancha’s passion for coaching focuses on improved clinician wellbeing to provide best patient care. Sancha particularly enjoys coaching clients with professional speed bumps around communication, those preparing for exams and contemplating career transitions, and senior doctors looking to enhance their supervisory skills. 

Sancha is an ICF Accredited Certified Coach (ACC), a Master Certified Physician Development Coach and holds Diplomas of Professional Coaching (AIPC), and Perioperative Medicine. She graduated from St George’s Hospital Medical School (London), is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education.

Dr Sarah Dalton

~Associate Coach~

Dr Sarah Dalton is a Paediatric Emergency Physician and previous President of the Paediatric and Child Health Division of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Sarah has worked in clinical and leadership roles across in NSW Health over the last 20 years, including executive leadership roles in several NSW Health entities.
Sarah’s leadership strengths see her apply coaching conversations to support her staff to unlock their own solutions and enable her to optimise her interactions and outcomes with key stakeholders. This practice inspired Sarah to complete the INSEAD Coaching Certificate.
Sarah has a long-standing interest in understanding what it means to be a ‘good doctor’ and has led many projects in both health system and College leadership roles designed to enable medical practitioners and health care professionals to review and improve their performance. Sarah’s primary interest is in improving the quality and safety of the healthcare sector and she strongly believes in the power of coaching to support healthcare professionals to be their best.

Sonja Cronje

~Associate Coach~

Sonja has three decades of professional experience across the health, higher education and international development sectors. Having worked closely with medical professionals for many years through senior executive roles in several Australasian specialist medical colleges and professional associations, she is a true health care insider.

Sonja has personal experience with emotional exhaustion and burnout, perfectionistic tendencies and imposter syndrome, and is passionate about helping to reduce burnout in health care providers through evidence-based coaching techniques.

Sonja is an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and holds postgraduate qualifications in public health and optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a Lifetime Fellow of the International Association of Contact Lens Educators, and a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ben Brearley

~Associate Coach~

Ben is a leadership coach, consultant and trainer with over 15 years of leadership and coaching experience in various sectors including healthcare, aged care, IT, construction and utilities.

Ben has hands-on experience working alongside clinicians in major programs and projects in challenging work environments, including major new hospital development projects and healthcare technology implementations.

Ben’s qualifications include a Diploma of Professional Coaching, Masters of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Science (Biochemistry), a Bachelor of Computer and Mathematical Science as well as various training and public speaking certifications.

Meaveen Sullivan

Meaveen is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with over 15 years’ experience working across a broad range of sectors including tertiary and vocational education in multicultural contexts with results-focused, high-performing international and domestic professionals.

With a passion for evidence-based best practice, her work focuses on leveraging strengths, values-aligned work/life integration, supporting wellbeing and building quality relationships. Her coaching approach fosters curiosity and innovation, enabling clients to develop the mindset, resilience and leadership skills to help them and their people thrive.

Meaveen is accredited as an ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and holds a M of App Sc (Coaching Psych). She is a member of the University of Sydney Coaching and Mentoring Association and has MBA-level credentials in Leadership and Leading People and Change.

Julia Blair

Julia is an experienced Administrator with specialist skills in the areas of Executive Assistance and Human Resources roles, gained over 25 years within corporate and dynamic environments across a range of industries.
 
Julia looks to understand the bigger picture, has exceptional interpersonal communication and problem solving skills, and a fantastic relationship building style. A true people person, with a desire to build mutually beneficial relationships Julia has a strong interest in personal and professional development.
 
Julia has a Bachelor of Business (Tourism & Hospitality) from Southern Cross University.
 

Sharon Gillan

~Program Administrator ~

Sharon is a detail-oriented administrator who loves to bring structure and organisation wherever she goes.
 
With over 15 years of experience, Sharon excels at implementing systems and processes to streamline workflows and is a project administration superstar – always making sure everything runs smoothly while organising and monitoring timelines and resources, and providing clear communication to all parties to ensure project success.
 
Sharon has a Bachelor of Computing (Information Management) from Deakin University and a Graduate Diploma of Social Science (Technical Communication) from Swinburne University of Technology.

Tracy Tresidder

~Coaching Supervisor/Mentor ~

Tracy Tresidder is an International Coaching Federation (ICF) Master Certified Coach, experienced mentor, and esteemed teacher of coaching skills.

With over 7000 coaching hours and 1000 mentoring hours, Tracy has honed her craft to guide and empower professionals in unlocking their full coaching potential exemplified by her over 15 years’ experience as Coaching Excellence, Credentialing Expert for ICF Australasia.

Her dedication to excellence and deep understanding of effective coaching techniques makes her a sought-after mentor. Tracy’s passion lies in supporting individuals to become impactful coaches, fostering growth, and achieving transformative results.

Surabhi

~Social Media Assistant~

Surabhi is junior doctor from Melbourne, and also has years of freelance experience in graphic design, marketing and social media management.

She loves using her digital creativity to create print media for our various workshops, and promote our events across various platforms including our website, social media channels and our monthly e-newsletter!

Dr Becc Nothrop

Becc, a certified coach and medical doctor, coaches to liberate successful women from the self-limiting patterns of perfectionism, imposter syndrome and people-pleasing, and is one of our valued SWITCH: Learning to Ask not Tell facilitators.

Becc’s clients have ‘ticked all the boxes’, ‘done everything right’ and are accustomed to lives sustained by external validation . At the top of their achievements, her clients have become suspicious that this strategy may never bring the satisfaction and fulfilment they expected.

Becc’s coaching frees her clients to show up in an expressed version of themselves: to feel proud, alive and undefended. Her clients experience authentic and sustained behaviour changes by attending to key behavioural drivers – mindsets and emotions.

Becc also has trainings in the neuroscience of coaching, emotional intelligence, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). 

Richard Clarke

Richard brings three decades of business experience as a leadership coach, head of operations and management consultant.  He enables change at individual, team and organisational levels across many sectors including government, education, pharmaceutical and technology, and is one of our valued SWITCH: Learning to Ask not Tell facilitators.

With a passion for helping people find purpose and perspective to achieve their potential, Richard tailors his coaching with an evidence-based, solution-focused approach, drawing on a range of psychological frameworks such as adult development theory and systems thinking.

Richard has a M Sc in Coaching Psychology from Sydney University.  He is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and holds accreditations in The Leadership Circle, Lifestyles Inventory (LSI), Hogan Personality Assessments, Global Leadership Wellbeing Survey and Mental Health First Aid.
